CHRIS DUFFY

GENERAL MANAGER - FTB CENTRAL FLORIDA

Duffy brings an exceptional playing background and a passion for player development to FTB Softball. A four-year starting outfielder at the University of Central Florida, he was one of the most accomplished players in program history, earning First Team All-American honors in 2010 and setting UCF and Conference USA single-season records with a .447 batting average and .850 slugging percentage. He was also one of five finalists for the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award, recognizing the nation’s top amateur baseball player, and was inducted into the UCF Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024.

Originally selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 2006 MLB Draft, Duffy chose to attend UCF, where he developed into one of the nation’s premier collegiate players. Following his senior season, he was selected again in the 2010 MLB Draft by the Philadelphia Phillies.

Today, Duffy is dedicated to developing the next generation of athletes. As General Manager, he combines his experience as an elite player with a passion for mentoring young athletes, helping build a program centered on player development, character, and long-term success. He is committed to creating opportunities for athletes to reach their full potential while supporting FTB’s vision of preparing players to compete at the high school level and beyond.

JOHN PERDUE

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR - 16U HEAD COACH

John is a dedicated youth softball coach committed to developing confident, fundamentally sound athletes who compete with discipline, resilience, and a team-first mindset. Over the past six years, he has focused on creating an environment where players are challenged to grow both on and off the field while preparing them to compete at the high school level and beyond.

As the father of two high school athletes, a 16-year-old son and a 15-year-old daughter, John has seen firsthand the positive impact sports can have on character, leadership, and personal growth. He believes baseball and softball provide opportunities to build confidence, resilience, accountability, and life skills that extend far beyond the game.

Coach John prioritizes attitude, effort, and discipline over natural ability, knowing that work ethic ultimately separates successful athletes. Rather than focusing on wins and losses, he emphasizes the daily habits, behaviors, and preparation that lead to long-term success. In his philosophy, winning is the byproduct of athletes consistently doing the little things the right way.

As athletic director, John is committed to building a championship culture rooted in preparation, player development, and excellence.
